Amber Dolphin (Violin, Viola, Ensemble)

Amber is an accomplished musician and experienced violin instructor who teaches privately, leads music workshops locally and directs the Creative Strings Collective at Beloit College. She performs with the Pecatonica String Quartet as well as Charanga Agozá (Cuban dance music). Previous to assuming a heavier teaching load, Amber performed with the Madison, Green Bay, Dubuque and LaCrosse Symphonies and the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra as well as two Argentine tango groups (Quinteto Yzafa and Istmo Tango Trio). In 2011 she co-founded Music con Brio, an after-school program for grade school students. She has also taught as adjunct faculty at University of Wisconsin-Platteville and Viterbo University. Amber earned degrees in violin performance from Luther College (BA), UW-Madison (MM), and Northern Illinois University-DeKalb (Performance Certificate). Also see amberdolphin.com 

Paran Amirinazari (Violin, Viola, String Orchestra Ensemble)












A doctoral student and member of the graduate Hunt String quartet at UW-Madison. She also played with the ProArte to perform the Mendelssohn Octet, and has played with the Madison and Dubuque Symphony Orchestras. As an avid chamber musician played in the Nightingale String Quartet at the University of Nevada, Reno, where she spent two years in the Orchestral Career Skills program, as well as playing with the Reno Philharmonic and Reno Chamber Orchestras. Paran is a native of Boston, where she graduated from the New England Conservatory of Music. In addition to her classical background she has toured with musicians like Jethro Tull, Larkin Grimm, and Beat Circus.

Michael Allen (Cello, Violin, Viola)



















Michael Allen is an accomplished cellist and string music educator in the Madison area. He currently is a string instructor for the Madison Metropolitan School District. He is currently a cellist for the Fresco Opera  and chamber musician for the Madison based group called Mosaic and cellist for the Camerata String Quartet.He has premiered over 20 chamber music works.  In the summer he is a cello instructor and orchestra conductor at Dessaix Baptiste Music School in Jacmel,Haiti. This summer he will be also teaching and performing in Cap Haitian , Haiti and in Port au Prince Haiti. He has performed with the pop singer Richard Marx and country music singer Lyle Lovett. He is a graduate of Lawrence University and Northwestern
University. He has studied with Carlton McCreery, Harry Sturm and Alan Harris.

Carrie Backman is the Director of Instrumental Music at Edgewood High School where she teaches band, orchestra, jazz ensemble, pep band, pit orchestra, private lessons on all instruments, percussion ensemble, chamber music and independent music study in theory and composition. She is an active performer on euphonium, trombone, and piano. She earned degrees in music education from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities (BM, magna cum laude) and VanderCook College of Music in Chicago (MMEd with honors in Music Education)
